Durham, USA ¨C April 3, 2007 ¨C Funcom and Eidos announce the launch of the official Age of Conan Beta sign-up program. The forthcoming Beta stages will give thousands of testers a unique chance to play the anticipated MMO before release, allowing Funcom to further enhance and polish the game prior to launch this October.
?Age of Conan? entered closed Beta last summer, but only selected partners and professional testers have been given access. The forthcoming Beta stages are now going to include an increasing number of external testers. By signing up as an eligible tester at the official website, participants are given the option to take part in two forms of Beta testing, defined as general Beta and technical Beta. The general Beta will be ongoing tests where Funcom focus on gameplay and content, while the technical Beta will be event based, dealing with aspects like stress testing, server load and large scale global log-in. The Beta programs go live this spring.

The PC version of Age of Conan will release on the 30th of October. The game is consistently listed as one of the most anticipated PC games of 2007, and won Best MMO of E3 awards from IGN, GameSpot, GameSpy and Yahoo. Age of Conan is a key title in Microsoft?s Games for Windows line-up, as well as being a showcase DX10 title for nVidia.
