MMOSITE.COM: First of all, we are quite interested in the man behind "Mr. Ktat". Would you mind telling us more about "Mr. Ktat"? Who are you? And what led you to join the ArchLord community team?

s nice to have the opportunity to talk with you guys. Where to begin? Well I guess I should just clear something up from the start; Mr.Ktat is just one man¡me. I work with the GMs, Production, NHN and the marketing department to make sure that the ArchLord community is kept up-to-date with all the latest ArchLord news as well as bringing community feedback to the various teams responsible for ArchLord.
I joined ArchLord in Feb 06 not long after we announced the game. I use to work in QA here at Codemasters when the position of Community Manager became available. I interviewed and I was fortunate enough to get the job. Since then it s been all go, it doesn t feel like it s been over a year already, but as they say ¡®time flies when you re having fun.
MMOSITE.COM: What is the main storyline within the game? We all know that ArchLord is the ultimate goal for the player. But what does it take to become the ArchLord? In other words, how can the player become the ArchLord?
Mr. Ktat: There is an ongoing story line in ArchLord that revolves around 5 Archons that were created in Chantra s early years. When the Archons are united, players are granted the power of the ArchLord. In fact, the best way to learn more about the ArchLord lore is to pick up a copy of the ArchLord manga that s now available. This fills in some of the detail from the ArchLord world.
The ArchLord system itself has a lot of depth to it. There are two stages that players are required to complete if they want to become the ArchLord. Stage 1 is the capturing of the castles. Players, with the help of their guild, need to capture one of the three in-game castles. Once all three castles have been captured, players will then be able to take part in the next stage: the battle for the ArchLord crown! The three castle owners will need to defeat a series of monsters and then each other before they can make the final push to win the ArchLord crown and with it gain control of an exclusive Dragon Mount and some outstanding powers.
MMOSITE.COM: When will ArchLord Episode II be available? You know, many players are waiting eagerly for the early release of it. Is there any level restriction or any other kind of restriction for accessing to this expansion?
Mr. Ktat: NHN and Codemasters are focused on getting Episode II: Season of Siege ready and made available to players as quickly as possible. Keep checking the ArchLord forums and website for more information regarding its release. Before it is released far and wide we will be creating a public test server that all current ArchLord players will be granted access to. There isn t really a level restriction on the ArchLord system, so all players will be able to take part in the castle sieges certainly. However the monsters that players will encounter on their quest to become the ArchLord are pretty tough so I d recommend a minimum level of 50 for most players. Other than that there are no restrictions, Episode II will be available free of charge to all ArchLord players.
