End of Beta Announcements
It¡¯s been a long, bumpy road ¨C and to all of our dedicated troopers, from the original Closed Beta crew to our latest recruits THANK YOU!! We couldn¡¯t have done this without you.
Open Beta ends in about a week; here¡¯s all the news we have for you at this time.
Downtime
Forums will go down on the 29th for upgrades and pruning.
Beta servers and WarRock.net will go down Jan. 31st; the forums will go back up so everyone¡¯s got a place to hang out while we wait to go live. A placeholder site with a Flash game, link to the forums, and any new announcements will be up during the downtime.
The new site will go live with the game servers on February 7th.
Beta Users & Retail Premium Upgrades
Once we¡¯re live, please re-register using the same email account you used for Beta! Your new account will start with the AK-47 for 7 days, bypassing the new minimum rank restriction. You¡¯ll also be given the option to make a Premium purchase online and receive a free month of service ¨C along with an extension to the AK-47 bonus.
We¡¯ve also upped the Retail bonuses; you¡¯ll start with an unreleased item in your inventory for 7 days, as well as a free 30 day extension to your Premium service.
New Client
Please be aware that when we go live, you will have to uninstall your current version of War Rock, and download (or use your retail disc) the new client to install and play. We¡¯ll have links up as soon as they¡¯re ready.
End of Beta Giveaways!
Friendly WarRockers and forumites may suddenly find themselves with promo codes, extra XP or Dinar, or even new weapons. Part of this is a thank-you for being part of our community, and part of it is to test some new system tools.
Weapons include the M134 minigun, M60, AI-AW, and the FAMAS. We will NOT be giving out the Winchester.
We¡¯ll also be picking users to be entered into a random drawing for a SIGNED retail package.
Please don¡¯t ask the GMs for any giveaways ¨C you won¡¯t get them that way!
