Recently RMT found a new way of producing fresh Gil from Final Fantasy XI by repeating the Selbina quest "An Explorer?s Footsteps" . With Flee and Warp hack tools, each character can go from valkurm to battalia downs in about 2 mins or less and get the 20,000 Gil reward easily. By controling multipal characters, this has become a new Gil source. It is announce in the FFXI player aggrements that using Third Party Softwares breaks the game balance and will cause the account being terminated.
A player named Zoner on the Quetzalcoatl server noticed this phenomenon and reported it to a GM. After one and half hours of working together, Zoner and a GM managed to ban 30+ RMT and at least 2 banks characters related to this event.
The players and staffs of Final Fantasy XI are taking effective works to prevent RMT and Third Party Softwares. Square-Enix banned over 10,000 accounts and removed over 50 billion Gils. This work will keep going according to offical announcements.
