For the next update we will be changing several things about the Auction House and mail systems. Most notably we are doing a complete restructuring of the Auction House fees to be more player-friendly:
"Posting fees have both reduced and simplified. Previously we used a fairly complicated formula to determine the posting fee for an item. We are now going to be using a percentage of the item?s value which will increase based on the length of the auction. "
