Chinese Company Object Software sign an agreement with AGEIA that they will co-work on hysics acceleration technology for Object Software?s new online game.

Ltd, a leading interactive entertainment company and AGEIA™ Technologies, Inc., the pioneer in hardware-accelerated physics for games, today announced in Beijing that Object Software and AGEIA™ will build a cooperative relationship in relation to physics acceleration technology in the development of a new online game by Object Software. This is the first Sino-US advanced technological cooperation in the game industry.

AGEIA PhysX ™ physics acceleration is a powerful game technology and widely used in many products designed by globally famous game developers, such as EA, Microsoft, SONY, Vivendi and so on. It¡¯s also been used to great effect in ¡°Warhammer Online¡± (EA) and ¡°City of Villains¡± (NCsoft).

As we learned, AGEIA and Object Software will have more cooperation beside the game technology. They have also reached an agreement to set up a laboratory and exploit the Chinese and North America markets together. Object Software didn¡¯t give more detailed information on its next product. We¡¯re just told that it¡¯ll be a completely new game. Anyhow, Object Software is taking on a big challenge.
