Ncsoft announced a creative contest, the Lineage® II Remix Contest is holding with Inon Zur, to celebrate the release of the new Chronicle and the recent launch of Lineage Radio.

Chronicle 5: Oath of Blood™ features a fantastic new soundtrack composed by Inon Zur. To celebrate the release of the new Chronicle and the recent launch of Lineage Radio, we are happy to bring you the Lineage® II Remix Contest! Put your own spin on a selection from Chronicle 5 and you might win fantastic prizes. Your remix might also be played on the air of Lineage Radio for all Lineage® II players to enjoy!

Submission Guidelines

All remix entries must be made up of one of these three Chronicle 5 musical tracks, available for download here. Your final masterpiece should be no longer than 3 minutes and 30 seconds in length and submitted in MP3 format only. You can create sounds or transitions for your piece but they must be your own original work or you must own the rights to them ¨C please do not use anyone else¡¯s material.

Ready to start remixing but don¡¯t know where to begin? Those of you who have OSX on the Mac may find GarageBand to be helpful. The rest of you looking for a program to use may want to review some shareware audio editing tools for assistance.

All submissions will be judged on quality, musical arrangement, and flow.

Copyrighted Materials

PLEASE NOTE: Lineage® II musical tracks (that NCsoft® owns) are available for your use. However, you may NOT use any materials that you (or NCsoft®) do not own the rights to and utilize them for the purposes of this contest. Likewise, taking a track from something that you (or NCsoft®) do not own and altering it slightly then presenting it as your own work is strictly prohibited. You (or NCsoft®) must have ownership rights to every element included in the remix entry you submit. You must make sure your entry doesn¡¯t infringe on any patent, copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right, or any privacy, publicity or publishing rights of any third party, or is libelous, obscene or otherwise contrary to law.

One remix entry ONLY per person will be accepted.

You must be 13 years of age or older to participate and a legal resident of the United States (excluding the State of Rhode Island, and excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military installations and commonwealths), Canada (excluding Quebec), or the European Union as of Tuesday, October 3, 2006 to participate in this contest.
