Kart Rider Hits 700,000 PCU
3D Q-style racing game Kart Rider hit 700,000 peak concurrent users (PCU) on September 10, Kart Rider operator Shiji Tiancheng announced on Monday. Shiji Tiancheng licensed Kart Rider from Nexon and began open beta testing for the game on March 17. Shiji Tiancheng has 70 million registered users for Kart Rider. Kart Rider uses the same characters as Nexon?s bomberman game BnB, which has been operated by Shanda (Nasdaq: SNDA) in China since 2003. At its peak in August 2004, Shanda recorded 700,000 peak concurrent users for BnB. Shiji Tiancheng is a subsidiary of Shanghai Post & Telecommunications Technology (600680.SH).
