Renaissance is developed by 3D Magic, a semi professional team in Hungary, Europe. Now the game is in a very early alpha stage and the development is not in full time yet, so there are no more in-game materials. From the picture above we can see that Renaissance is set in a dark medieval fantasy world. In the game, tens of thousands of players can play together, on one single server. The story relies on the players¡¯ actions, which will also affect the environment dramatically. Epic quests and events, involving huge amounts of players - combatants and non combatants alike - are common and determine the way, how the story goes on.
The players may join in a living medieval world, called Chronia, which was devastated during a tremendous war, and the newly arrived people, who are the descendants of the ancient races, have to discover the history, rebuild the world and create a new order.
In Renaissance the player can not only be a warrior, archer, or a powerful mage, but he/she can impersonate any other typical medieval character, like a thief, an assassin, an explorer, a bard, a dancer, a blacksmith, an alchemist, and many other. What really differs Renaissance from current MMORPGs, is the fact, that there are no levels and no classes in its advancement system. It has an open skill system, in which the players learn the skills they want to use, and only that determines what ¡°personality¡± they?ll become. In-game actions require knowledge and adroitness from both: the character and the player.
