The Summer Classic Prep Tournaments are coming to a close with Storm squaring off against the Convicts in tonight?s championship game. Storm, perennial power-house in UBO tournaments, will face their strongest opponents in the Convicts who have taken a page out of the Storm blueprint; using pitching to win.

Stumped and YokoOno have combined in the Convicts? two wins and have only given up 5 runs between them. Meanwhile, Storm has had to battle back from near elimination with slugging. Nate hit a walk-off game winning HR in round 2 against the Yankees.1 team in an 11-10 victory. RalphieD filled in for an injured Blaze in the victory, but nearly gave the win away to the strong sluggers of Yankees.1.

Four of the seven teams registered in the 2006 Summer Classic participated in the MAJ+ Classic Prep. The chance to play intensive tournament games will give these players the edge as they enter the Double Elimination tournament Monday of next week.

Instead of playing for double experience or bragging rights, the players in the Summer Classic will be playing for a chance to watch their favorite baseball teams play as the MLB nears the post season and the most exciting time of the year! One final team of 5 or 6 can register for a chance at any one of these great prizes:

Three out of eight teams will walk away with their own prize from UBO, not to mention full UBO news coverage and statistical record keeping. All tournament players will decide who comes away with the 2006 Summer Classic MVP, Silver Slugger, All Aces, and Tournament Team awards.
